Validation

Validation is:

Standing naked and accepting my image. It’s having no requirement for my perfection or my shame.

Being me is validation enough. To know I am strong, courageous and imperfect each and every day. That I can challenge myself in the arena of self doubt, not mattering if I win or lose but that I showed up.

Validation is an honest truth that doesn’t embellish but exemplifies honesty not only with myself but with others too. Can I come to the table prepared to stand for myself but be generous enough to give what I am to everyone else that sits with me? Learn to share our imperfections not in shame or judgement but in empathy and compassion.

My hand reaches out to the mirror image and across the many tables I travel to in my life; ┬áin belief that I have, as Brene’ Brown states, a strong back, a soft front and wild heart.

I validate myself today.
